I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was very young. I also wanted to be a vet, a jockey, a paleontologist, a fighter pilot and a marine (yes, I am a girl) but writing is the one that stuck.
I’ve got half the equation down – I do write. Quite a bit. But I’m not very good at the part that involves finishing things and giving them to other people to read. This is a place for me to ramble on about my efforts towards becoming a writer whose work people actually read, aka ‘a novelist’.
I currently have three novels in progress :- a sword and sorcery fantasy called City of Djinn, a First World War novel, When the Guns Stop, and an alternative history/mystery/adventure novel set in 1908 called Monstrorum Historia.
Between January and May 2011, I spent four months travelling solo (and blogging) around Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand. You can read about my misadventures here – From the Delta to the DMZ.
I also had a previous craft and writing blog – Ordinary Little Art
